Vida interior de construcciones inorgánicas

Buildings are supposed to be inorganic, lifeless. However, there are many hidden secrets behind the surface of things. In and under the concrete walls, there is a net of cables and other materials. We usually live and work in these buildings without thinking of their complex construction.
Suddenly, for some reason, normally stashed parts like electrical cables may pop up. They look like veins or intestines, or some strange organs. They create interesting combinations, seeming to have a kind of life of their own.
In 2016, I was wandering along the streets of Old Havana. The hole-kind-of areas on the walls that revealed some inner secrets of the buildings caught my eye. They looked somehow humorous and beautiful at the same time. Their content, e.g. the cables, have an important practical function, but they also look like abstract art compositions, or some miniature installations.
Nevertheless, while curiously peeping at them I realised that touching them would be dangerous. Intervening the secret level, might make me – lifeless.
